This album (originally released in 1972 on Vanguard) directly anticipated the formation of Larry Coryell's Eleventh House. In fact, the guitarist is joined by a future member, keyboardist Mike Mandel, and the style of fusion is similar to what would be later developed. Steve Marcus contributes some fiery soprano solos, while bassist Mervin Bronson and drummer Harry Wilkinson ush the soloists.
