Tenor saxophonist Frank Wright was part of the original New York avant-garde jazz scene. During the ’60s he recorded a pair of visceral blast-fests for Bernard Stollman’s seminal ESP-Disk’ label before moving to Paris where this album was cut at the end of 1969. With altoist Noah Howard, pianist Bobby Few and drummer Muhammad Ali.
