The latest in our series of “Hip Pocket” releases - bringing you facsimile editions of classic LPs.
This is one of the rarest-ever LP covers as it was withdrawn almost immediately. America wasnt ready for a naked white woman on the front sleeve of a blues album that had a photo of a black man on the back.
An original fetches upwards of $1000.
Once inside the cover you get eight honkin sax instrumentals and two songs each by Daddy Cleanhead and a very young Johnny “Guitar” Watson who plays piano on the record.
A classic inside and out.
