This power trio, comprising brothers Pat McManus, John McManus and Tommy McManus, hailed from Northern Ireland.
The album originally appeared on the Jive/BMG record label in the UK, and is now available for the first time on CD.
Mama's Boys came along at the tail end of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal explosion and enjoyed considerable success riding on the crest of that wave.
Phil Lynott from Thin Lizzy was a big fan of the band and championed them in their early days
The band issued several albums during the early to mid-'80s, including such titles as 1982's Plug It In, 1983's Turn It Up, 1984's self-titled release, this album from 1985, and 1987's Growing Up The Hard Way, which brought the band some success in Europe.
The band enjoyed some US MTV success with a cover of Slade's 'Mama We're All Crazee Now'.
Pat and John went on to form the Folk Rock band Celtus, which is still going today. Tommy sadly passed away in 1994 after a long battle with Leukaemia.
