During a recording career that spanned more than four decades and over 40 albums, John Fahey inspired several generations of guitarists, many of whom took up the instrument after hearing Fahey.
Since his death in 2001, Faheys stature has continued to grow. He remains the most vital, original and influential American steel-stringed guitarist of the last century.
"Revenge Of Blind Joe Death" is a spirited homage to the man who started it all. The performers range from guitarists who made their debut on Faheys Takoma label, to members of Canned Heat, Country Joe & The Fish and Beausoleil, and from young stars like Berkeleys Sean Smith to explorers of the guitars limits like Henry Kaiser.
