Originally released in 1986, this second work by Canadian archetypal techno-headbangers, marks the rite of passage from Voivod's classic thrash metal of the early 80s to a more distinctively complicated subgenre that involved jazz-prog influences combined with space guitar riffs. The novelty would soon be completed with upcoming works, like Killing Technology or Dimension Hatross, but this is the album that would change the whole genre, creating the basis for the electronica/HM crossover of the Nineties.
