Solo album from Blood, Sweat & Tears
vocalist
-Booklet with authoritative and extensive
liner notes by respected author and
journalist Chris Welch.
-Expertly remastered - superb sound quality.
Famed for his role as powerhouse vocalist with jazz-rock blockbusters Blood, Sweat
& Tears, David Clayton-Thomas enjoyed a career as a successful solo artist.
The Canadian born blues and soul specialist is backed on this excellent 1972 outing by a
studio full of session musicians, including guitarist Steve Cropper, drummer Earl Palmer
and a big brass section.
David's voice blasts through such stand out performances as 'Magnificent Sanctuary Band'
and 'Sing A Song', both released as singles. These bluesy, up tempo numbers suit David's
raucous Ray Charles-influenced style and he is helped by BS&T's drummer Bobby Columby,
whose driving drums and sympathetic production help spark this satisfying ten-track
album.
