Considered by some to be the Jam's best record, Setting Sons (which in true, Who-like fashion, was an aborted concept album about three childhood friends) came out in 1979 and rocketed right away to the top of the British charts. Over here, of course, they still couldn't get arrested, though this was the first Jam album to even make the charts! But that didn't stop 'Setting Sons' from going out of print in the U.S. years ago; we've added liner notes and no less than NINE singles to this much-needed resurrection.
