Originally released in 1969 (the year that also saws the release of "Red Weather"), this is the first and only album done by this band formed by the Blue Cheer guru Leigh Stephens, along with Mick Waller (drums, ex Trinity, Jeff Beck Group, Steampacket), and Pete Sears (bass). Recorded in London, Silver Metre contains almost all songs written by Leight Stephens and, as for all his "solo" projects, it is more rooted in Country, Blues, and Rock Ballads than Hard rock sounds. An essential release.
