On Sing Me Home the renowned cello player Yo-Yo Ma and
The Silk Road Ensemble join forces again to explore the
ever-changing idea of home through original and traditional
folk tunes. Joining them is a remarkable cast of international
performers consisting of Gregory Porter, Bill Frisell, Abigail
Washburn, Rhiannon Giddens, Martin Hayes, Sarah Jarosz,
and many more.
This sixth album is the group’s most personal recording yet
with each track sounding like a beautiful and honest love
note to a place. In the words of Yo-Yo Ma himself: “The

to how culture helps us all to meet, connect, and create
