A much deserved and overdue retrospective, dedicated to these heaviest of heavy Scots rockers. Nazareth was admired for an aggressive driving style and the soulful vocals of gravel-voiced Dan McCafferty. The band's musical policy saw them tackle a range of different songs, which yielded several smash hits. Their massive output of singles has been gathered on this comprehensive 4 CD set. 80 superb tracks span the band's career from 1972 to 1990. Among the highlights are early classic hits 'Broken Down Angel', and 'Bad Bad Boy' produced by Deep Purple's Roger Glover. Nazareth also tackled Joni Mitchell's 'This Flight Tonight', resulting in another surprise hit. It's included alongside 'My White Bicycle', a spirited rendition of Tomorrow's psychedelic anthem. Manny Charlton (guitar), Pete Agnew (bass) and Darrell Sweet (drums) back McCafferty's gritty vocals on dozens more A and B-sides that commemorate a really great rock group.
