Sykes backing musicians on this small-group date include the great Willie Dixon on bass, alongside renowned tenor man Sax Mallard, Lee Jackson on guitar and drummer Armand “Jump” Jackson.

Remastered from the original stereo production masters and, being part of Aces “Hip Pocket” series, reissued as a facsimile of the original Crown album release.

Sykes is a genuine blues legend, with more than 35 years of recording history to his credit - very little of which is currently available on CD. This mid-priced release will therefore be welcomed as an important addition to a catalogue that deserves to be more widely heard.
