It’ll get you listened to carefully the first time, but if you don’t have much to say, the name stops working for you.” Despite being the stepdaughter of both Charlie Parker and Phil Woods, Kim Parker was able to find her own unique voice, and became a fine jazz singer in the ’70s & ’80s. This album was recorded in 1985 in Milan with Mal Waldron on piano, Isla Eckinger on bass and Ed Thigpen on drums.
