Guy Clark's stellar fourth album is released on CD for the first time. Produced by Rodney Crowell and originally released on Warner Bros in 1981, The South Coast Of Texas was recorded in Los Angeles and features Crowell's compadres from Emmy Lou Harris's Hot Band and other denizens of the So Cal new country scene including Vince Gill, Rosanne Cash, bassist Emory Gordy, Ricky Skaggs, and many others. Includes classics including "She's Crazy For Leavin'" (a 1988 hit for Rodney Crowell), "Heartbroke" (a giant 1982 hit for Ricky Skaggs), and "New Cut Road," plus a sizzling remake of Clark's "Rita Ballou."
