Danger- hard'n'heavy singer at work! Armed with one of the most powerful voices in rock,
Frankie Miller had already achieved legendary status by the time he cut this vintage Eighties
album. This powerful set of performances has Frankie in fine vocal form and backed by some
top musicians, including ace guitarist Chris Spedding.
Chris is joined by fellow guitarists Pete Carr and Wayne Perkins. Frankie also plays guitar and
harmonica, while Barry Beckett is on keyboards. The Band is completed by Mickey Buckins
(percussion), David Hood (bass) and Roger Hawkins (drums).
The music scene had changed drastically in the early Eighties when Frankie was rockin' out
with these soulful songs. Punk was gone and Heavy Metal and techno pop was in the
ascendancy. 'Standing On The Edge' was first released in 1982 and it has some stand out
tracks like 'Danger Danger', 'Standing On The Edge', 'Angels With Dirty Faces' and 'Jealousy' -
all imaginative Miller compositions.
