When Jimmy Gilmer stepped in front of guitar player George Tomsco's bone-rattling combo to warble "Sugar Shack," a Chart Topping item in late 1963, as Tomsco puts it, "The pancake flipped." Kennedy was assassinated, the Beatles had taken America by storm and this groovy little ditty about "a baby in black leotards" already seemed to be a souvenir of simpler times. Direct from the original Norman Petty master tapes, we've also included 3 rare single-sides as bonus cuts!
