Put first-class guitarist Pat Travers (active since the early seventies) together with an extraordinary drummer like Carmine Appice (whose collaborations are far too numerous to list), bring in the full-bodied bass of Chuck Wright and Tony Franklin, and let them play the music they love (blues rock), and the result is one smokin' album! Featuring studio versions of their hottest tracks (i.e. "Boom Boom" and "Snortin' Whiskey"); new versions of classics like Pat's "Crash & Burn" and Carmine's "Evil" (a track from the Cactus days), plus sizzlin' covers of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" and "Livin Alone," which Carmine played back in the days of "Beck, Bogert & Appice". Among the new tracks, "Babylon Baby," "Misfortunate One" and "Disappear" are standouts. As usual the experience and talent of Appice / Travers comes through loud and clear, and this work is definitely among their best.
