LPCDreissues: Looking forward to the past

A collection of unreleased songs and rare recordings from 1987 to 1993 by Dream Syndicate founder Steve Wynn. With the exception of only one song that was re-recorded for Steve's last solo album Sweetness and Light, all 11 songs on this album have never been released in any of Steve's other works. Take Your Flunky And Dangle captures Steve and friends (Chris Cacavas, John Wesley Harding, Robert Lloyd, John Convertino and Mark Walton) in the studio and on the radio performing previously unreleased Steve Wynn songs. The stripped-down feel and simple production gives the material an edge and bite that recalls the "no-frills approach" of the early classic Dream Syndicate, although this album is more acoustic and song-oriented. A must have!!!
