Eartha Kitt embodied the model of the sexy chanteuse of the 1950s, thanks to her gravelly voice and sophisticated and exotic stage presence. Eartha Kitt's debut album, "That Bad Eartha" (reissued here with 12 bonus tracks from the period!) made the Top 5 when it was originally released and contains classics like "Usaka Dara (A Turkish Tale)" and "C'est Si Bon", which both confirm her talent for singing in different languages. Eartha Kitt was also a TV and film actress (many remember her in the role of Catwoman in the Batman television series).
