Snooks Eaglin was born in New Orleans in 1936 and so is described as one of the ‘younger generation of blues singers’. Maybe that is why influences from R&B, pop standards and even rock’n’roll pervade his intense music with its ‘swingy runs’ and ‘full chording’.
