Originally released in 1984 on the Epic record label. Singer Danny Joe Brown had returned to record this and the band's previous albums after a brief absence, in which singer Jimmy Farrar had taken over on vocal duties.
In the early 1970's, a new form of music was emerging in the southern states of the USA. It combined a mixture of blues, country, gospel and the English invasion of rock and roll that, collectively, became known by the phrase 'Southern Rock'.
The music was filled with style and emotion, and bands in the forefront of Southern Rock were The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and a band from Jacksonville, Florida called Molly Hatchet (named after a famous 17th century axe murderess Hatchet Molly, who would behead her lovers with the handtool Lizzy Borden made famous).
The band are on a world tour in 2006, with many dates in the USA and Europe as well as having a new album out - 'Warriors Of The Rainbow Bridge'.
