R&B legend Lee Dorsey left boxing and began his musical career after he had the good fortune to meet songwriter/arranger Allen Toussaint at a party in the early sixties. His first hit single, "Ya Ya", released in 1961, hit number 7 on the music charts and throughout the decade Dorsey produced several more, including several found on this 1966 LP, "Working In A Coalmine". "Holy Cow", and "Ride Your Pony".
