KERB CRAWLER BEARDED LADY - with a name like that how could they fail? JOHNNY WARMAN wanted to be a ‘Rock Star’ and with FRED SHERRIFF a former schoolmate they formed the band. Over the next six years they were watched and touted by CHUCK BERRY, DIRE STRAITS, AC/DC, IRON MAIDEN, MICKEY MOST, HAWKWIND and even DAVID BOWIE! By 1975 they had achieved a residency at MARQUEE CLUB, London every Saturday night. The band thought they were gorgeous and dressed outrageously with Johnny wearing a sparkly Bowler Hat and shirt to match and he would spray his boots a different colour for every gig. Mickey Most tried to sign the band on three different occasions but each time ‘management’ held out for more. Following on from the recent RPM release ‘Velvet Tinmines’ (RPM 251) which included the track ‘Rock Star’ which was Bearded Lady’s first single Johnny dusted down all the masters which were recorded in 1975, remastered them and Angel Air offer’s the very first album from these cult ‘glam ravers’ MUSICIANS JOHNNY WARMAN, FRED SHERRIFF, CHRIS PEEL,PAUL MARTIN, CLIVE BROOKS
