The Troggs stunned the pop world when they hit the charts with ‘Wild Thing’ in 1966. The group fronted by Reg Presley, was so rooted in raunchy rock’n’roll they even impressed Jimi Hendrix, who later paid tribute with his own version of the song. ‘Wild Thing’ is among the many delights to be found on this superb compilation of high-energy performances by the lads from Andover in the West Country.
