An incredible double CD set which collects a series of awesome performances by Parker, with Dizzy Gillespie’s ensemble and his own quintet and sextet. All the tracks here included were recorded between 1946 and 1953 with some live tunes from the Rockland Palace Concert and prove once again the genius of this great musician and his ability to work with every giant of jazz from Thelonious Monk, to Max Roach, Bud Powell, Art Blakey and Miles Davis.
