- Format: CD
- Label: Ace
- Genre: Blues, Soul, Funk, Jazz
• A UK CD release by one of the mod jazz scene's most revered female singers.
• These two albums were both released in the UK in the 1950s - although one only in the format as three EPs - and both have been unavailable here for almost half a century.
• One of the many highlights here is Lorez' original recording of her big club favourite 'Baltimore Oriole' - but it's far from being the only highlight.
• The all-star musicians heard across these two albums include Eldee Young (later of the Ramsey Lewis Trio and his own Young-Holt Unlimited), Charles Stepney (founder member of both Rotary Connection and Earth, Wind & Fire) and Paul Serrano (future engineer on literally hundreds of Chicago 60s soul classics).
• Precious few of the late Ms. Alexandria's albums have ever found their way onto CD - all the more reason, therefore, to anticipate the demand that there will surely be for this pairing.
• Notes by Fred Dellar of Mojo.
