WELCOME TO LPCDREISSUES
By the time this album was released in 1972 on Curtis Mayfield's Curtom label, Mayfield had left the group to pursue his own solo career, but continued producing and writing material for his ex-bandmates, including Times Have Changed (except for a cover of Marvin Gaye's "Inner City Blues"). For this release, the Impressions eloquently utilized their protest of Nixon's war machine and the increasing economic despair of America's ghettos as a springboard for their hard-hitting grooves.
