Twenty Sixty Six And Then were active for only a short time, but their sole album left behind one of the most powerful statements in German progressive rock. Reflections On The Future is dense, dramatic and full of movement, with heavy organ, sharp guitar lines and forceful vocals pushing the music toward a darker, more urgent form of post-psychedelic rock. The band’s sound has the weight of early hard rock, but the long structures and sudden changes give the album a distinctly progressive character.
The original album is built around five extended pieces that move from heavy riffing to more spacious, exploratory passages without losing intensity. What makes the record stand out is the way the group combine power and imagination: the music can be aggressive, but it is never one-dimensional. This Eclipse Records edition expands the album with four bonus tracks, including outtakes and additional material from the same creative period, making it a fuller document of a band whose brief existence produced something unusually strong.
