Ministry have done more than any other band to popularise industrial dance music, with their over-the-top aggression and roaring heavy metal guitar riffs that helped their music find favour with metal and alternative audiences as well as the traditional industrial fan base. Samples, synthesizers, and tape effects are a primary focus just as much as guitars and distorted vocals. Both live and in the studio, they create a huge, crushing sound that puts most of their contemporaries into their shadow. This album consists of the studio acetates mastered on 28th - 29th August 1985. Tracks 1- 8 represent how the Twitch LP was originally intended to be. All Day - Remixed version was added to the final album replacing Isle of Man - version I on side 1. On side 2 of the LP Possession was shortened and renamed My Possession and the 7 minute Abortive and Twitch - part I medley were also permanently removed - until now, having been replaced with the 12 minute medley of Where are You Now/Crash and Burn/Twitch - version 2. Using harsh synthesizers, brutal drums and cynical lyrics this represents Ministry's first full-length venture into the darker possibilities of electronic music. The CD contains a shorter 7% version of the Angel which was mastered but never used. Tracks 10 - 12 were used for the 12% release of Over the Shoulder.Track Listing:Artist: Ministry 1.
