The British Invasion sound that had been cropping up in recent Everly Brothers albums became explicit on this 1966 release, which not only was recorded in London but enlisted the aid of Brit-Inv. superstars the Hollies (who, in turn, were of course hugely influenced by the Everlys)! In fact, the band wrote eight of the album’s 12 tracks and played on it, too, lending this record a more straight-ahead rock feel than perhaps any other Everlys LP. And, though the Hollies themselves had recorded or would record most of the songs they contributed, Don and Phil’s versions are radically different from the band’s. The Everlys had a sound like no one else’s. Includes "Somebody Help Me," "So Lonely," "Kiss Your Man Goodbye," "Signs That Will Never Change," "Like Everytime Before," "Pretty Flamingo," "I’ve Been Wrong Before," "Have You Ever Loved Somebody," "The Collector," "Don’t Run and Hide," "Fifi the Flea," and "Hard, Hard Year." Another long-lost Everlys gem!
