Very 'Eavy Very Umble released in the US as Uriah Heep and featuring "Bird Of Prey" instead of "Lucy Blues", is a delicate mix of technically advanced, meandering prog rock and heavy metal, a style that brilliantly coalesces in classic tracks like "Gypsy", an organ-led blues rocker that became the band's anthem. In the years that followed, Uriah Heep (whose name was taken from a character in the book David Copperfield by Charles Dickens) would amass a huge international fan base and sell millions of records (5 of which would break the Top 40 in the US album charts).
