Mid 60's Soft Machine demos recorded by Georgeo Gomelsky (former Yardbirds' manager) and only released as fame kicked in half a decade later. Probably in an attempt to maximise profits, split across two albums released by the French Label BYG, here on Volume 8 of the 'Rock Generation' series (LP - BYG 5529.708 T and subsequently released by Musea's Spalax label on CD SPALAX 14557) and 'Rock Generation Volume 7'. The real oddity is the coupling of Soft Machine here with the dissimilar Marc Leeman 5 and Davey Graham on Side 2 of the LP. Both 'Soft Machine Volume 7' and '8' recordings were subsequently amalgamated into the various vinyl and CD issues of 'Jet Propelled Photographs'
