Edward ARTEMIEV was an appreciated soundtrack composer in the Soviet Union. The Russian composer is also known as the father of new-age keyboardist Artemiy ARTEMIEV. In 1980, he decided to pursue an experience not unlike German classic composer Ullrich SOMMERLATTE's (IVORY), in pushing classical music into the universe of rock. Today reissued by the Musea label, "Warmth Of Earth" presents an energetic and refreshing Progressive rock, enlightened by Russian vocals courtesy of the charming Jeanne ROHZDESTVENSKAYA. Generally structured around song-based tracks, this music could remind of several Japanese bands of the Eighties (PAGEANT, GERARD, NOVELA...). To be rediscovered urgently !
