Possibly the first ever album to be released by a Morris team, it reached number one in the Melody Maker folk charts soon after its release. And after 30 years still encapsulates the spirit of the team……. The Moulton Morris Men were formed in 1972. They are a village based side who have always had a very young and vibrant membership. Almost 40 years on they are still widely regarded as one of the best and most youthful sides in the country. They have performed at many events across the UK and are regularly asked to dance at festivals across Europe. They have been asked to represent England at the European Parliament Cultural Festival in 2010. Moulton Morris have also been responsible for starting the careers of many well known musicians that includes: Simon Care (Edward II, Albion Band), Gareth Turner (Little Johnny England), Guy Fletcher (Dansaul, The Morris On Band), Dave Jolly (Stocai, Asha) and Gareth Warren (e2k). This album was recorded at Woodworm Studios (the spiritual home of Fairport Convention) in 1979. Produced by Dave Pegg and Simon Nicol of Fairport Convention. Also features rare audio footage from Father Kenneth Loveless.
