This release combines the band’s first two albums (“The Tubes” and “Young and Rich”). Produced by Al Kooper (ex Blues Project and Blood, Sweat and Tears) the first album produced the UK hit single “White Punks on Dope”. The band’s second hit single, “Don’t Touch Me There” was produced by Ken Scott (who produced David Bowie’s “Hunky Dory” album). The Tubes’ live shows were never anything short of an event with the outrageous frontman, Fee Waybill lurching onstage in 2 foot high platform boots as Quay Lewd the drug-fuelled British rock star.
