  • Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Immediate

YES—BELIEVE IT! One of Immediate Records’ most sought-after gems is finally receiving an official worldwide release, nearly sixty years after just 100 advance promo copies were distributed to radio stations.

Charly Records launch their Immediate Records 60th Anniversary celebrations with this pivotal album from the then-teenage—and still largely under-the-radar—Billy Nicholls.

This 12-track cult classic radiates sunshine-soaked psych rock and is frequently hailed as Swinging London’s counterpart to the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds. Its lush, ambitious arrangements were overseen by Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, with contributions from the Small Faces and Arthur Greenslade, and production duties handled by Ronnie Lane.

Looking back, Would You Believe stands as a remarkable achievement—imagined and realized by a 16-year-old from Shepherd’s Bush, and created in a world that brought him into the orbit of George Harrison, Beatles publisher Dick James, Immediate visionary Andrew Loog Oldham, and an array of British rock royalty along the way.
