Pattern-Seeking Animals is a progressive rock band formed in 2018 by former and current members of Spock’s Beard: Ted Leonard (vocals, guitar), John Boegehold (keyboards, guitars, programming), Dave Meros (bass), and Jimmy Keegan (drums). Their fifth studio album, Friend of All Creatures, was released on February 14, 2025, marking their debut with GEP Records.

The album features a blend of expansive compositions and concise tracks, showcasing the band's signature melodic progressive rock style. Notable tracks include the nearly ten-minute opener "Future Perfect World," the twelve-minute epic "Another Holy Grail," and the contemplative "Words of Love Evermore." The album explores themes of introspection and human experience, with intricate arrangements and emotive performances
