Freeborne were an American psychedelic rock band from Massachusetts whose only album, Peak Impressions (1968), became a cult favorite among collectors of late-60s underground psych. The record combines ornate vocal harmonies, baroque arrangements, acid rock textures and ambitious songwriting, placing it somewhere between sunshine psych and more exploratory progressive sounds. Its long-form title suite and dramatic mood shifts made it one of the hidden gems of the era.
