Recorded in Montreal during the early 1970s, Ellison is one of the great lost albums of Canadian hard rock. The band drew freely from heavy blues, psychedelia and progressive rock, but instead of following any established formula they created an album with its own distinctive character. Powerful guitar work, unexpected shifts in mood and imaginative arrangements give the music a restless energy that constantly keeps the listener engaged.

From the driving intensity of Unchanged World to the expansive atmosphere of Untruth Story and the haunting finale Freedom, the album reveals a group equally comfortable with concise rock songs and more adventurous musical ideas. Although only a handful of original copies circulated at the time, the record gradually developed a reputation among collectors as one of Canada's most rewarding underground releases, admired not simply for its rarity but for the strength of its songwriting and performances.
