The brainchild of famous producer Ikuzo Orita, Speed, Glue & Shinki was a Japanese psychedelic rock power trio formed in 1970, centered around the figure of guitar player Shinki Chen, who was considered the Japanese Jimi Hendrix at the time.
The band consisted of Shinki "Shin" Chen (ex–Powerhouse, Foodbrain) on guitar, Masayoshi "Glue" Kabe (ex–Golden Cups) on bass and Filipino born Joey "Speed"" Smith (later on Juan de la Cruz) on drums and vocals.
"Eve" was their debut album from 1971. Killer heavy–rock / acid blues with loud guitars, raw vocals and druggy lyrics, featuring underground classics like "Stoned out of my mind".
