DVD plus CD package. "

Around the "Sacrifice" release the band wrote and produced a unique stage show. This was the first time that a rock band had taken a choreographed show on the road. Helping the band with this was the then acknowledged "King Of The Witches" Alex Sanders, who introduced a number of chants and rituals into the act. The
show ended with the sacrifice on stage of the naked "Astaroth".

Black Widow created a storm in the UK with their show. The Sunday press had a field day and priests would turn up at the bands gigs waving crosses at the crowd. The resulting publicity saw the shows packed out and the album selling like hot cakes. However, bad luck dogged the band throughout history. As "Sacrifice" entered the charts so Simon & Garfunkel released their "Bridge Over Troubled Water" album. CBS turned the whole of their pressing plant over to that release which meant that at the high point of demand for "Sacrifice" there were no albums available to buy in the shops.

At this time the band were invited to play on the German "Beat Club" show. It was decided that the whole of the "Sacrifice" show would be recorded; complete with chants, rituals and female dancer, ending with the sacrifice of the naked girl. The recording was buried for nearly forty years before being tracked down by Black Widow's sax/flute player Clive Jones and is here released in full on DVD together with a live CD of the show's soundtrack.

This release is truly a piece of rock history and an opportunity to see a band recorded live at the peak of the progressive era. Whilst Black Widow were to split up in 1972 the bands memory has lived on and evolved into cult status: "Come To The Sabbat" is still featured on rock radio programmes all over the World."
