For her first ever venture into electric folk-rock, Shirley Collins drew on a cast of thousands - well, twenty-five, to be exact. Her all-star band included such luminaries as Richard Thompson, Maddy Prior and Ashley Hutchings, on a set of traditional folk tunes. The resulting 1971 album was a triumphant blend of the old and the new.
