The diabolic ones here are leaders of a lost tribe. Austin Grasmere and Brian Elliot lead the rites in winter 1968. Primordial, wild & heavy. Cromagnon could be considered the demented step-fathers of Germany's infamous Einsturzende Neubauten, or Psychic TV, or perhaps Test Dept. All of which must have listened to this record sometime between wearing diapers and finishing middle school. Wierd, tribal percussion, distortion, noize, chanting, screaming, and, of course, bag pipes. This is a great record! Also available on CD (ESP 2001).
