Twilights Time! is the first complete anthology dedicated to The Twilights, one of
Australia’s most admired 1960s pop groups. Across three discs and 86 tracks, the collection
presents the band’s full vintage catalogue, including album material, non-LP singles, rare
commercial recordings, live performances and previously unissued tracks.
Loved in their native Australia and highly regarded by international collectors of beat, mod
and pop-psych, The Twilights combined strong vocal harmonies, sharp musicianship and inventive
songwriting. Their sound has often appealed to fans of groups such as The Hollies, The Move,
Idle Race and July, while their ability to perform complex Beatles material helped build their
reputation as one of the finest live acts of the era.
The set includes both the mono and stereo versions of their 1968 psychedelic pop classic
Once Upon A Twilight, alongside their earlier LP, singles, EP tracks, advertising
spots and related recordings by Terry Britten and Pastoral Symphony. Compiled and mastered by
Alec Palao, the release also features extensive sleeve notes, new interview material and a
wealth of rare photographs and memorabilia.
