In May 1972 “Atlantis” by The Trip was released, an essential album for fans of Prog Rock. The sound of the band clearly blends to the English progressive one. The record is a concept album inspired by the myth of the lost continent, to symbolize the genesis and the fall of the totalitarian society. The album is full of virtuosities by keyboardist Joe Vescovi and drummer Furio Chirico. The LP is technically flawless, and for some is the best one ever recorded by the band.
