Hailed from Minnesota, a talented singer songwriter and guitarist Ann Reed's debut album ‘Carpediem’ in 1980 is now available on CD for the first time ever since its vinyl release. Although Ann has been actively releasing albums and touring all over the United States, this debut album didn't quite draw much attention from public back then. ‘Carpediem’ is a quiet and beautiful folky album, especially its charming melody line is literally awestruck. The album is a superb mixture of pop, folk, swing, jazz and even Bossa Nova! There are some similarities between Ann and other famous female singer songwriters such as Janis Ian and Carole King in her voice and style. Ann has released 18 records so far and she has been actively supporting non-profit groups for the benefits of women and children for many years.
