The debut album from Kevin Coyne came out in 1971 on John Peel’s label, Dandelion Records. A social therapist by profession, but also a painter and a writer, Coyne stands out as a kind of “anti-star” of the 70s. His unique guttural blues-like voice, the uncomfortable song topics and some unorthodox song structures, made Case History a prime source of inspiration for, among others, John Lydon, Ben Watt, and Will Oldham.
