Svart are happy to present the vinyl debut of Pekka Pohjola’s last albums. All three studio albums from 1992 to 2001 will be released on limited double vinyl during 2017 and early 2018.

Pekka Pohjola had recently turned forty when his tenth album as a leader was released. Carrying the simultaneously hopeful and fatiloquent title Changing Waters, this effort would bring about a paradigm shift in his expression. The man’s unique brand of “heavy jazz” was blossoming and Seppo Kantonen, Markku Kanerva and Anssi Nykänen would prove perfect in interpreting it. Released in 1992, the album proved an unlikely success.
