Come My Fanatics... is the point where Electric Wizard’s sound became truly enormous. The riffs are slower, heavier and more suffocating than on the debut, with the band turning doom metal into something filthy, psychedelic and almost physically oppressive. Rather than sounding simply loud, the album feels buried under layers of distortion, feedback and bad-trip atmosphere.

Originally released in 1997, the record remains one of the defining documents of modern doom and stoner metal. Tracks such as Return Trip, Wizard In Black and Doom-Mantia stretch heavy rock into a monolithic crawl, while the instrumental sections push the album further into cosmic, drugged-out territory. This Rise Above coloured 2LP edition presents the album in expanded vinyl form, including the additional tracks Demon Lung and Return To The Sun Of Nothingness.
