Digipack CD.Bram Stoker was a mysterious British formation that pressed their first and only album in 1972. Their name evokes macabre gothic atmospheres, and so does their music - fitting for a group so clearly inspired by the 'Prince of Darkness'. In the early seventies, groups like Black Widow, Atomic Rooster and Black Sabbath ruled the day, and the up-and-coming Bram Stoker apparently had everything it needed to make it big, except a bit of luck. The band soon faded into decades of obscurity, but not before releasing their amazing Heavy Rock Spectacular, a true pearl of original prog, dominated by the evocative tones of the Hammond organ. Highlights include "Idiot" with its intense and insinuating vocal riffs, the psychedelic "Ants", and the heavyweight jazz instrumental "Fingals Cave", and "Poltergeist", with sounds that seem to come straight from the abyss..."
